Chip in for Schools Golf Classic

On August 11, 2010 the EFB held its 17th Annual CHIP IN FOR SCHOOLS GOLF CLASSIC at Dwan Golf Course in Bloomington. We had beautiful day of golf with great people at a beautiful course followed by a fabulous awards banquet at Minnesota Valley Country Club and all for a great community cause – it doesn't get much better than that.

This golf tournament has been our one annual fundraiser and it generated more than $450,000 in its 17 year history. The money raised with the Golf Classic is used to support the EFB's Education Innovation Grants program which makes grants available to educators to encourage classroom innovation and enrichment that would otherwise not be possible.

This golf tournament has brought in over 100 golfers from the Bloomington community, the Bloomington school district teachers and staff, organization sponsors and corporate sponsors. We have also enjoyed great support from our business community whose generous donations became prizes for our raffles sales and silent auction. The businesses who contributed donations are too numerous to mention individually – just know that our Bloomington business community has truly come through for us each year!

Major sponsors for the tournament are listed on the side and deserve a HUGE round of applause for supporting this very worthwhile community event!
